Welcome to the June Edition of the Crypto Altruists Newsletter!

š Hello, Crypto Altruists!
Thereās a lot happening in the world right nowāfrom humanitarian crises to growing political tensionsāand it can feel overwhelming. What gives us hope is seeing people across Web3 continue to show up, build with care, and find ways to support one another and their communities (even by donating crypto to organizations such as this one).
Thereās also more energy in the space with summer blockchain events happening. Weāve seen lots of thoughtful conversations and gatherings, like d/acc Day at Berlin Blockchain Weekāa space focused on Defensive Accelerationism, exploring how to coordinate and build shared infrastructure in uncertain times.
Itās been a busy few weeks for us at Crypto Altruists, too. Weāve been sharing new content, made progress on an exciting partnership (more coming soon!), and are almost ready to launch our biggest resource yet.
Let's dive into what we've been following this month... š
š± Featured: Toolkit Launch Coming Soon!
We believe the next wave of Web3 builders will come from the impact world, and we need to meet them with resources that are accessible and tangible.
That's why, for a while now, we've been working on the Web3 Changemaker Toolkit, and are excited to share that the resource is coming out soon! šš

Designed for nonprofit leaders, activists, and mission-driven teams, itās a practical guide to using Web3 for real-world impact. Whether itās boosting transparency, unlocking new funding models, or rethinking governance, the Toolkit offers concrete starting points, examples, and tools that make sense.

If this resonates, stay tuned. Weāre getting ready for the launch and would love to connect with early supporters and those interested in partnering on the launch. š

š Project Highlight: Lido Impact Staking

What if staking could help fund education, reforestation, and open digital tools? Thatās the idea behind Lido Impact Stakingāa new model that lets ETH stakers direct a portion of their staking rewards to nonprofit partners, automatically and on-chain. šŖ
Launched in January this year, the mechanism is straightforward: stake ETH tokens through Lido, select a nonprofit from the supported list, and choose the portion of your yield to donate. Your ETH stays staked, and rewards are streamed directly on-chain to mission-aligned partners, supporting everything from digital inclusion and education to climate restoration and cash transfers.
Rather than relying on one-off donations or time-limited grants, we love that this model gives nonprofits a steady, on-chain funding stream that's directly tied to the validator economy. And for ETH stakers, itās an easy way to support causes they care aboutāwithout changing their setup or giving up their assets. Theyāre simply putting existing infrastructure to work for good.
Traditional funding models keep nonprofits trapped in endless grant & reporting cycles šš«
