He broke down practical strategies for building sustainable Web3 communities, navigating governance challenges, and driving impact through decentralization.

🌟 Project Highlight: CCN

Each month, we're excited to highlight projects making a positive impact using Web3 technologies. This February, we are focusing on Climate Coordination Network (CCN), a project dedicated to accelerating blockchain-enabled climate solutions on a global scale to catalyze diverse forms of climate action.
CCN is perhaps best known as the administrator of nine Gitcoin Climate rounds, through which they distributed over $4.2 million in funding to early-stage climate projects.
Recently, it was also announced that CCN will be partnering with Octant for their upcoming Epoch 7—Octant’s first-ever themed funding round, focused on climate solutions. Octant’s model allocates a portion of protocol-generated staking rewards in time-bound cycles, empowering community members to fund public goods projects. For the first time, an entire cycle is dedicated to a single cause—and we love that it’s CLIMATE! 🌱
We had the opportunity to dive deeper into the vision behind it in our recent interview with Jon Ruth of CCN and James Kiernan of Octant!
Excited for Octant Epoch 7? So are we! 🙌💚
