Welcome to the April Edition of the Crypto Altruists Newsletter!

š Hello, Crypto Altruists!
In both March and April, we were keeping a close eye on everything around Devconnect heading to Buenos Aires. And ETH Cinco de Mayo is actually happening right now! There's no doubt LATAM is back in focusānot as a hype cycle, but as a region where economic realities are shaping how tools actually get built and used. Stablecoins, remittances, and new forms of coordination arenāt āthe futureā hereātheyāre already part of everyday life.
With that, we're also seeing a shift in tone: less posturing, more pragmatism. Whatās actually working? What needs to evolve? And how do we build withānot just forāthe communities at the center of it all?
At Crypto Altruists, we love these conversations. From new experiments in funding to growth in impact infrastructure, hereās whatās shaping the space. š
š± Featured: New Crypto Altruists Website!

We did it. After many months of sketches, color debates, font spirals, and being challenged by web design⦠the new Crypto Altruists website is live!š„³
The old site has been with us since 2021 and has seen us through over 200 podcast episodes, a growing community, and lots of experiments. Itās been a trusty home, but we were ready for a refresh. One that makes space for whatās coming next.

The new site brings sharper visuals, easier navigation, and better ways to find (and share) the work we love. Weāre still buildingāthere are pages to add, features to unlock, and maybe a few bugs hiding in plain sightābut weāre excited to finally show what weāve been working on.
Take a peek, explore a bit, and let us know what you think. Weād love your feedbackāand your grace as we keep improving. š

š Project Highlight: Glo Dollar

Each month, we highlight projects using Web3 to drive meaningful change. This month, weāre focusing on Glo Dollarāa stablecoin built to fund high-impact causes by redirecting the interest earned on its reserves to the public good. š
Glo Dollar (USDGLO) redirects all yield from its fiat-backed stablecoin to nonprofits and impact initiativesāwithout costing users a thing. That means when you hold or use Glo, youāre helping fund vetted organizations working across climate, open-source, education, and more.
Backed 1:1 by U.S. dollars and issued by Brale, USDGLO functions like any other stablecoināit's easy to hold, use, and redeem. The Glo Foundation, which receives donor support to cover its costs, ensures that every dollar of yield from the reserve goes directly to the causes that need it most. With over $3.5 million in circulating supply and growing adoption across Web3, Glo is showing how financial tools can quietly fund global impact at scale.
To dig deeper into how it works, check out Crypto Altruistsā new podcast series, Funding Impact with Glo Dollar, with more episodes coming soon. š
